The Security Officer ensures that all individuals entering the Community Bank of New Jersey are warmly greeted and are assisted accordingly.
The Security Officer plans, directs, and coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of company assets, team members, and the public.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in making recommendations for security procedures and practices Identifying and resolving security related issues Conducting physical surveys of premises and security equipment condition Conducting and assisting with preparing reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of CFBNJ regulations, policies, and procedures Assisting in preparation of emergency management and contingency planning Conducting searches of any areas on premises, vehicles, etc.
Monitoring, searching, and recording from camera surveillance system as directed Assisting with security issues regarding associates, such as procedures for terminations and violations of company policy including theft and violence incidents Assisting with incidents involving public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as it relates to security at CFBNJ or CFBNJ team members Greeting and directing all guests Maintaining the visitor log Performing other duties as assigned within the scope of the position Essential Skills and
Experience:
Law enforcement training or experience a plus Must have good communication and interpersonal skills At least two years of customer service experience required; administrative and/or office reception experience required At least three years in security officer position in a public environment Critical thinking, judgment, and calm demeanor to review and solve security issues as they arise; ability to properly handle emotional situations Self-directed, able to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously; ability to work under pressure Strong sense of initiative, creative problem solving, flexibility, discretion in all dealings of a confidential nature Able to work with all levels in an organization and with individuals with diverse cultures Ability to work irregular hours as required by operations; availability to work Saturdays/Sundays as needed Ability to respond to burglar and fire alarm situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook Software.
Proficiency in IVMS camera application, or other security camera system.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
