Summary:
Garden State Laboratories, Inc.
is seeking a full-time Lab Analyst, who will report to the Wet Chemistry Manager located in our Hillside, New Jersey Lab.
The Lab Analyst will be responsible for using analytical methods to provide prompt and accurate testing for assigned environmental samples using standard analytical techniques that comply with our laboratories standard operating procedures.

Our satellite offices in Hunterdon and Sussex counties, along with a fleet of field samplers provides unparalleled sampling techniques and sample pick up services for clients.
Responsibilities:
Maintain log(s) of all samples received in the lab for assigned parameters for analysis.
Make sure that all necessary supplies required for the assigned tests are in stock and current Maintain and update all logbooks associated with the assigned analytical procedures.
Check and verify that received samples are in proper containers for the requested analyses.
Check and ensure that samples are properly preserved prior to analysis.
Ensure that all instruments and equipment used for sample analysis are calibrated and in good working order prior to any sample analysis.
Prepare and perform sample analysis utilizing assigned instruments using current SOPs and within regulatory holding times.
Submit all analytical results to the Technical Manager for review in a timely manner so as to meet client TATs and expectations.
Perform routine maintenance of instruments and equipment as assigned.
Conform to all GSL QA/QC practices.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment for self and other lab employees as required by GSL health and safety guidelines.
Notify management of any conditions that may adversely affect the suitability of validity of the requested analysis.
Other duties maybe assigned by the technical manager in order to accommodate short term departmental needs.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education Requirements At least an associate degree in science or an equivalent two 2 years of environmental laboratory experience.
Bachelor's degree in science preferred, but not required Laboratory experience in the chemical analysis of drinking water is preferred, but not required as will provide the required training.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
