We provide food for 15 out of 21 New Jersey counties.

Hunger exists in every community from the poorest to the most affluent.
The CFBNJ Resource Access team works to increase participation in NJ SNAP benefits by supplying education, awareness on benefits, creating other pathways to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) accessibility through digital and direct, community-based outreach that will improve household food security and financial stability for neighbors in need.
The Resource Access Coordinator is a main point of contact responsible for connecting neighbors to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other benefits, such as monetary aid, school meals, WIC, and home energy assistance programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Direct Neighbor Services o Help neighbors at community partner locations with completing benefit applications online.
Review households' eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and provide direct referrals to other benefit programs and services to neighbors.
o Respond to requests for information, eligibility screenings, benefit application help, and follow up on inquiries into CFBNJ's multi-lingual Food Assistance Line.
o Host virtual information sessions via Microsoft Teams or Zoom to educate both community partners and neighbors about benefit programs and the importance of improving food security and households' financial stability.
Partnership Building and Community Engagement o Cultivate community partnerships to become a trusted messenger in the communities we serve, continually expand awareness of SNAP benefits, on issues of hunger and poverty throughout New Jersey and represent the Community FoodBank of New Jersey at meetings or community events.
o Schedule, plan, and assess benefit outreach events at community partner locations.
Policy and Advocacy o Develop an in-depth knowledge of SNAP and other benefits policies and regulations and support expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program specifications.
o Continually take part in professional development opportunities, meetings, webinars, and other learning opportunities to stay informed about policy and procedure changes, program developments and issues.
Data Entry and Tracking o Follow data entry policies and processes to enter data in an efficient, accurate, and prompt manner to track all neighbor and partner information in a case management database to assess program impact and efforts.
Essential Skills and
Experience:
o Bachelor's degree plus at least 2 years of experience in community outreach, community organizing, case management, program administration or non-profit experience.
o Ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, project management experience, strong organizational abilities, and a high degree of professionalism.
o Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and data entry.
o Comfortable with public speaking, creating and leading presentations.
o Position requires local and statewide travel - need to have own transportation and clean driving record.
o Availability to take part in some evening and weekend outreach events throughout the year, as needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
