Tutor will work with students in grades 6-12 on the English and Language Arts Curriculum.
After each tutoring session, tutors will need to document completed tasks and observations made during the session.
Our ideal candidate has worked professionally with school-age students for at least one year.
Additionally, you will need to have 60 credits or more from an accredited university.
We will provide training.
Responsibilities and Duties Work with Reading Specialist to set lesson goals and milestones.
Plan and implement instructional plan.
Prepare materials specific to upcoming assessments/ projects.
Document progress to discuss with parents and Instructional Specialists.
Model phonics, phonemic awareness and reading comprehension strategies.
Assign HW & review work with students.
Collaborate with parents and Instructional Specialists to evaluate student needs.
Provide encouragement and positive motivation.
Qualifications and Skills Strong Reading and Writing Skills Proven experience working with children.
Loves working with children.
Able to work after school hours and/or Saturday mornings.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer knowledge is necessary.
Proficient with Google Meets, Drive etc.
