We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Permanent Production Supervisor for our 2nd shift operations in our fast-paced manufacturing facility.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a solid background in food production and a passion for driving operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will be a bilingual English/Spanish speaker with extensive knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, and GFSI standards, and a proven track record of implementing lean principles and Kaizen techniques to enhance productivity, efficiency, and food safety.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Production Supervisor, you will:
1.
Oversee the 2nd shift production operations, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
2.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen techniques to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
3.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.
4.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements and maintain SQF and HACCP certifications.
5.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of production personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
6.
Manage production schedules, labor, and material resources to meet production targets and deadlines.
7.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
8.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Production Supervisor, you will need:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
2.
Strong knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, GFSI, and food safety standards.
3.
Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen techniques.
4.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
5.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
6.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
8.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
9.
A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement effective solutions.
10.
A commitment to promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
