Essential Functions:
The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed:
Provides excellent customer service Develop, promote, implement, and evaluate innovative programs and services for children, teens, and their caregivers that meet Library goals and interests of the community Establishes and maintains positive effective relationships with schools, community organizations, and the general public through local outreach Orders collection materials and other library supplies for purchase, taking into consideration priority needs and budget limitations; reviews collections to develop or discard/discontinue as needed; evaluates and/or selects resources for delivery in the most appropriate format Reference and readers' advisory Coordinate and supervise teen volunteers Develop and instruct the public and staff in the effective use of library resources and emerging technologies in a variety settings, including one-on-one, small groups, and user guides Prepares clear, accurate and informative narrative and statistical reports Keeps informed of current trends, technology, and developments affecting library services through professional reading, continuing education opportunities, and participation in professional organizations.
Attends workshops, conferences, and training as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited institution.
A NJ Professional Librarian Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey or demonstrated ability to obtain one within three months of hire.
Knowledge of current trends in youth librarianship and demonstrated experience using technology and digital resources.
Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
