Due to unprecedented growth, we are currently seeking to hire a Food Service?Industry Pricing Manager, located in our Hillside, NJ headquarters.


The Pricing Manager primary role is value creation and value capturing using innovative pricing strategies. This position will work in a high performance, customer-focused team environment, and is responsible for developing and accelerating the overall profitability of the business. This position is jointly responsible along with the Marketing Director for the timely pricing of new and existing products to AAK FS customer base.


The Pricing Manager is responsible of the maintenance and accuracy of the pricing cost model and raw material standard cost system. Also, this position will determine and manage the vegetable oil and other commodity type of materials position and negotiate future contracts to cover the demand for all customers, leveraging the internal trading team.


The Pricing Manager has to be an effective communicator and proficient relationship builder to orchestrate and coordinate with many functions, such as sales, customer service, procurement, transportation, finance and customers, in order to deliver is primary objective of value creation and capturing. Moreover, the Pricing Manager is responsible on creating and maintaining a competitive intelligence database to track competitor pricing behavior in the market place. Finally, this position is critical on the creation and development of the annual operating plan (budget) every fiscal year, where analytical skills and business knowledge are essential to deliver high performance.


The Pricing Manager will initially join as an individual contributor but as the contribution profit growth grows to Management?s expectations, the opportunity exists to build a pricing team with strategic intent to increase headcount as part of growth plan into a business with national scope.



In the immediate term, the Pricing Manager will play a critical leading role in the design, execution and implementation of the new pricing tool as part of the implementation of the new ERP system. The Pricing Manager will coordinate and collaborate with a larger project team to assure the timely, adequate and in budget execution of the project. This new system will employ a number of tools to ensure an effective and efficient pricing practice for acquisition and retention of business. These include: SAP BW, TABLEAU, Sales Toolbox (CRM), Global Opportunity Database (sales pipeline management), Strategic Account Plan, Management of Change (MOC) Database, VAI (new ERP implementation) and Trident Oil Contract Management amongst others.



The Pricing Manager will have a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of our current business and into additional geographies. The position requires strong general operating knowledge and the ability to consider and advise on a multitude of issues from a functional perspective. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


? ?Net profitability growth, which is an indicator of the value creation and capturing


o ?Develop and deploy pricing plans, actions, and processes to RETAIN existing customers, GROW market share with existing customers and GAIN new customers/business in targeted regions as well as developing and implementing growth plans in additional targeted geographies as AAK Foodservice Business Strategy requires. Ensure Pricing Strategies enable the Sales Strategies to meet annual and strategic horizon profitability growth targets


o ?Support customer innovation capabilities and optimize the pricing of new items to drive growth with strategic targets through branded and custom developed, and capture the fair value for the innovation offered


? ?Overall margin improvement, achieved through timely and accurate pricing accepted by customers


o ?Maintain all required system to execute pricing with up-to-date and accurate data to properly execute best in class pricing strategies


o ?Maintain all customer pricing schedule and cycles to meet their requirements timely


? ?Minimal margin erosion due to market fluctuation, which is achieve by maintaining the cost model and raw material standard cost system and accurate forecasting and contract of the key raw material ? vegetable oil and other commodity type materials


o ?Coordinate closely with the sourcing and procurement team to identify areas of opportunities for all raw materials and other input costs


o ?Responsible for providing oil usage forecast to our trading team based on the forecast from the sales team and based on historical information to keep an adequate position


o ?Support all Request For Proposals (RFP) and bidding process, and develop the pricing strategy to increase success rate and capture value in the process, by using accurate and reliable information from the system


o ?Provide market insight by coordinating an effective competitive pricing tools to drive profit improvement in a competitive market


? ?Customer satisfaction on the pricing area, where an excellent relationship with strategic sourcing management of key customers, and with the sales organization is required


o ?Prepare detailed analysis, such as customer spend analysis, customer profitability and product mix profitability


o ?Develop highly collaborative, durable, personal relationships. Facilitate highly connected approach between key customers? strategic sourcing management and AAK Foodservice Sales and the Marketing Team.


? ?Support the annual operating plan (budget) process, where effective coordination is needed with most of the business functions and the sales team


? ?Inspire and provide contributions to Sales Team members that result in high performing, highly engaged team mates through your personal leadership style and demonstrated commitment


? ?In the immediate term


o ?Actively participate development and implementation of the new ERP system


o ?Lead the design of the pricing model, all pricing tools and reporting tools needed to effectively execute the responsibilities of the on-going pricing manager


o ?Participate, coordinate and support master data creation, changes and setup linked to the pricing function


o ?Collaborate and coordinate with the ERP execution and implementation teams for the timely, accurate and in budget



QUALIFICATIONS:


? ?Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in science or liberal arts. B.S or M.S. in Food Science and/or M.B.A. is a plus.


? ?7+ years in progressively increasing responsibilities in pricing and other commercial roles in the manufactured foods industry servicing foodservice broadline/independent distributors and restaurant customers (operators)


? ?3+ years in progressively increasing leadership responsibilities (direct reports or influencing via matrix)


? ?Passion for coaching and developing a remote sales force through daily interaction, Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR)


? ?High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) with the ability to influence for results including high engagement of teams


? ?Ability to leverage key relationships with broadline/independent distributors and restaurant customers (operators) to gain opportunities for growth


? ?Expertise in developing cohesive strategic and tactical pricing strategies


? ?Expertise in growing foodservice business with regional and national Broadline/Independent distributors and restaurant customers (operators) into additional geographic regions. Understanding of foodservice pricing practices, such as marketing programs, allowances, national delivered pricing, bill backs, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
