John Widdicomb Queen Anne Baroque Burl Walnut & Mahogany Dining Chairs (8) *Six Side Chairs (JW-7064) *Two Arm Chairs (JW-7065) Handmade by John Widdicomb Co. Grand Rapids Michigan. When these were made they handed you a board with what must have been nearly a hundred wood finishes which you would select from for your furniture. This high polish finish is pretty much the perfect finish. Rich and transparent. *Fabric on seats will need recovering. Chairs are in nice condition with a few dings. I have priced them at $300 each where they they cost new (discounted) 20 years ago around $1500 each. Tri-State area Central New Jersey. Standard dining chair sizes (shown in picture). Solid mahogany with comfortable French Burled Walnut Back Splat..beautiful. Cabriole Legs with carved shell and scrolls on small pad foot. The first 6 pictures are the actual chairs the next 3 are from Widdicomb catalogs. I will take close ups on the next nice days these are just preliminary ones.
